Modern Day Tie-Dye

Tie-Dye

The inspiration for this post comes from my boyfriend’s niece, Lexi, who was wearing the most adorable tie-dye onesie the other day. I’d be lying if I said I was never a big tie-dye person. Growing up, I have vivid memories wearing oversized tie-dye shirts with bike shorts (yikes) during the summer and to school (yikes again). I probably haven’t worn tie-dye since then, except for one Halloween costume years back. However, I think it’s making a bit of a comeback. No, I don’t think its comeback will come in the way of oversized tie-dye shirts circa 1994, but I do think there is a fresh take on tie-dye these days, and I am totally feeling it.

What a cute little chicken nugget she is!!!! I can’t even take it. I’m not really a tie-dye person either…I loved making the shirts with sports teams growing up, etc. but I’ve never actually owned any REAL pieces of tie-dyed clothing. I feel like the right dress could change my mind, though!

Not much for tie-dye either, but I did buy a great tie-dye full-length beach dress at a music festival and love it and get lots of compliments when I wear it! That Lexi is totally adorable
