My Trip to Boston

0

What a whirlwind of a trip! I got back from Boston Monday, and I’m still feeling exhausted. It was a busy, non stop trip, but so totally incredible, and I loved every minute of it. If you followed along on Instagram, you saw some snippets, and if you didn’t follow along on Snapchat (username: jlb4567), don’t worry, I got you. Below is a video of all my snaps from the trip!

If you are clueless as to why I was in Boston, I went for a couple different book events and to speak to classes at my alma mater, Lasell. Sidenote: I used to live in Boston if you didn’t know…and I haven’t been there in four years! Hands down, it’s my favorite city in the country.

My new friends.

I got in late Wednesday night and immediately went to sleep when I got to the hotel (after I snap chatted, of course). I stayed at The Eliot Hotel on Comm Ave, in Back Bay. I absolutely loved it. It was charming and quintessential Boston. I highly recommend it next time you’re in Beantown. And the room service was heavenly. My breakfast each morning was pretty perfect.

I devoured the cookies.

Thursday morning I headed to Lasell to speak to 2 of the Fashion Presentation classes. It was so fun speaking to the students and chatting with them afterwards. I loved seeing my professors; it was really a blast. I can’t believe I graduated almost 8 years ago! After the classes, I had a little book signing at the Lasell bookstore, which was great, as well.

I then rushed back to my hotel, napped briefly (I was EXHAUSTED…and probably still hungover, as I drank far too much on the plane (see below video for more on that)), then got ready for the next event. I had a signing at the BU Barnes & Noble, which was really fun.  Afterwards, I went to dinner with a few of my best gals. And then I passed out.

Friday, after doing some work, I went to see my friend’s place, and then we both went to see our other friend’s place and her adorable baby. It was a fun afternoon! I came back to the hotel, hung out, then got a drink in The Eliot Hotel’s bar (which is in the restaurant UNI, which looks SO good, and I must try it next time I’m in town!). Then it was off to dinner and Pat Green (which was SO damn good because Pat Green is ALWAYS so damn good).

Saturday I went to visit another friend and her baby, then went to see my other friend’s new house (it was like a baby/house tour!). Saturday night I went to see another friend’s apartment and then a few of us went to dinner.

Like I said, the breakfast was heavenly.

Sunday I walked around with some friends (who were actually coincidentally in from Houston), then I had drinks with another friend, then it was dinner at Myers + Chang (which I highly recommend!!).

I then headed off to another hotel (I stayed near the airport on Sunday), went to sleep, woke up early, and flew back to Houston!

And here we are.

Overall, it was an amazing trip, and it made me miss Boston so so much. I love that city and had some of my best (well, and worst #breakupssuck) times there, and I’ll always have a soft spot for it.

Enjoy my vid and Happy Hump Day! And you can also head to My Red Glasses, as I chatted a bit more over there about stores and restaurants and such!
