It's Not Just a Workout…It's a Revolution

Last week, my life changed slightly. This sounds dramatic, I know, but I did yoga for the first time in my ‘adult’ life, and it was pretty incredible. When I did yoga over 10 years ago, I’ll be honest; I hated it. I was bored and I think I almost fell asleep during the class. Fast forward to this past week, and it was an entirely different experience. Fusion Yoga at the brand new Revolution Studio in West Ave is my new addiction.

Let me explain.

It was 7am, my alarm went off, I popped out of bed, ate a little breakfast (i.e. – a spoonful of almond butter…I seriously need to make a grocery store run) and headed to Revolution Studio. I walked in, and I immediately felt like I walked into a happy place. This sounds cheesy, but I don’t know how else to describe it. It smelled amazing (whatever candle they burn I seriously need to get my hands on), the entire studio is white, clean, modern, and just felt peaceful. Truly peaceful. Since it was my first time in, I got a little tour and then I went into my yoga class. An hour later, and I truly felt not only relaxed and calm, but awake, and ready to take on the day. And happy. SO very happy.
