It has been a rainy mess here in Houston this week, but it’s looking up for the weekend! On Wednesday, a lot of the streets were flooded, so I worked from my bed for the first part of the day, which was basically heaven. Then I went out to an appointment, and the roads were awful, so I came right back home after. It wasn’t the most productive of days, but it sure was enjoyable!

In terms of the weekend, it’s my MIL’s 60th, so we have a luncheon/party and a dinner to celebrate! As well, I have a girls night out happening tonight, so follow along on Snapchat, as I’m sure we’ll be up to no good (username: jlb4567). Otherwise, laying pretty low and finishing my closet clean out. I went through all my hanging clothes, now it’s onto drawers, shoes, and accessories!

In other news, I decided I’m putting a kibosh on weekday plans as of this coming Wednesday until my book is done. As much as I love going out for drinks and such during the week, doing that on top of my regular work and this book deadline, I have no time for me/to work out/to breathe. Don’t worry, I’ll still be drinking wine – just won’t be going OUT for wine during the week, if you were concerned.

I hope you have a great weekend whatever you’re up to and enjoy some of my favorite reads and finds from the week below! xo Julie
