Be Brave

There’s nothing I love more than giving back. I don’t do it often enough, and I wish I did more of it. If someone were to ask me what my life goal is, I would answer with no hesitation ‘to give back and make a difference in people’s lives.’ There are so many ways to give back and help others. And sometimes I think we all can get so caught up in our own busy lives we forget there’s a big world out there, and we’re just a small part of it.

Ok, now I’ll get off my soapbox!

I applaud companies that give back. And when I come across a company that has a charitable component, I immediately want to support the brand. With that being said, you can imagine my excitement when Bravelets reached out to me. Bravelets is a jewelry company (from Austin, Texas) that gives a portion ($10) of each sale to a charity of the customer’s choice.

I chose their Signature Bar Bracelet in gold, which says ‘be brave’ on it, and I chose to support Alzheimer’s Awareness. My Grandma Marilyn has Alzheimer’s, and I wear this bracelet in her honor.

Not only does the brand give back in such a great way, but their pieces are beautiful. I absolutely love my bracelet, and it works perfectly with any and all jewelry I put on. #armcandy

I also like that the bracelet says ‘be brave.’ It’s a good reminder, especially when times get tough.

Bravelets is so extremely generous because they want to give all of you, my lovely readers, a discount code. Use ‘PLAID10’ to get 10% off any order (excluding charms). I urge you to check out the site and shop your favorite pieces and choose the charity you’d like Bravelets to donate $10 to on your behalf. #BraveYourself

And this is me just pretending to check out some plants because why not?! As I mentioned on Instagram, I kill most plants and flowers that enter my house. I may try out succulents for a change. Thoughts?

Make sure to follow @bravelets, and while you’re at it, make sure you’re following me @julielauren14!

Thanks to the lovely Candace Thomas for snapping these photos!

I’m so glad I came across your blog! This is my first time hearing about ‘Bravelets’ and wow, what an amazing thing that they’re doing. My grandmother had Dementia so I couldn’t help, but think of her and her sweet personality 🙂 Now I can purchase my own ‘Be Brave’ bracelet in honor of her, while giving back…a win win 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing!
