This past weekend, I was out for lunch with my friend and we got on the topic of happiness and exuberant joy.

I truly feel we all deserve absolute happiness and exuberant joy in our lives, no matter what. I don’t care who you are or where you come from, you deserve it, and you should never let anyone tell you otherwise.

Why else are we here? I’m not going to go THERE and get THAT deep on you, but think about it…you only have one life, so why the hell wouldn’t you want an exuberantly joyful one?

It can be easy to continue doing whatever it is you’re doing because maybe there’s truly nothing bad about it, and you’re seemingly happy day to day. However, if there’s something else tugging at you that brings you the exuberant joy you desire and deserve, maybe that’s what you should be pursuing. Yes, it can be scary. Really fucking scary. However, avoidance isn’t the answer.

If you say you don’t deserve extreme happiness, well, I want to just shake you and tell you you’re crazy. So what if you’ve made a few mistakes? We all have. You still deserve happiness. Everyday is a day to start fresh, so if you’re unhappy with the person you’ve been, make a change. Make your goal happiness. And I mean REAL happiness that you can feel in your core, in your bones.

If your job doesn’t bring you happiness, make a change. If certain friends bring you down, stop hanging out with them as much. If your significant other doesn’t help to elevate your happiness, maybe it’s not the person you’re supposed to be with. If the city you live in doesn’t feel like a right fit, move.

I know it’s a lot easier said than done. However, it’s possible. Anything is possible. If you want it badly enough, you can make it happen. And if it leads you to exuberant joy, then it’s more than worth it.

So, I’ll leave you with this question today: do you feel exuberant joy in your life? If so, I’m grinning ear to ear. If not, I’m giving you a virtual hug and telling you to start thinking about what would bring exuberant joy into your life, and then start working towards it. You deserve it 100%.
