Just Dance, and Then Dance Some More: My Experience at Dance with Me (Part 1)

Dance with Me_Woodlands

Fun fact: I’m obsessed with Dancing with the StarsI’m not a professional dancer nor am I a star, but for some reason, one of my dreams is to be on that show someday. Sounds crazy, right? Well, while that may never happen, I feel like I’m getting to experience the next best thing at the moment.

I’ve partnered with Dance with Me in The Woodlands for a number of private dance lessons, and thus far, I’ve completed two, and you guys, I’m LOVING it. I seriously can’t say enough good things about it.

Aside from the fact that it’s a killer work out (because it is!! think: sweaty and out of breath by the end of the lesson), it’s just plain FUN. Above you can see me posing with my fabulous instructor, Eric, and seriously, every single person on the Dance with Me Woodlands team is incredible.

While I’m far from a dancer (unless you consider me rocking out to jams in the comfort of my own home or at a wedding a ‘dancer’), it’s been really exciting to go a bit outside my comfort zone. Yes, even though I might have a ‘dream’ of being on DWTS, it doesn’t mean it’s not even a tad scary to try something new. I had no idea what to expect, and I’ve loved every second of it. I’m going to be sad when it’s all over.

I’ll be giving you a full recap once my lessons are over, as well as a montage video(!). In the meantime, be sure to follow along on Snapchat (jlb4567), Instagram (@julielauren14), and Facebook (byjulielauren) for some behind the scenes action!
